Importance of research on sitosterolemia
Clinical research and bench research are critical to progress in medicine. This applies to sitosterolemia as well. The goal of the Sitosterolemia Foundation is to encourage and support research on sitosterolemia to find new treatments and ensure better disease management. A number of scientists have been involved in the study of sitosterolemia. Some of these scientists joined forces and created a clinical research consortium, the mission of which includes the study of sitosterolemia. Please see the STAIR consortium link below.
Patients who participate in research make it possible for researchers to find new treatments, create new studies and work towards better disease management.
